Machado Lake (Ken Malloy Harbor Park)

Machado Lake at Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park is a restored wetland lake in Harbor City. The City of Los Angeles posts fishing as catch-and-release only, with a valid license. Boats and swimming are prohibited. This is a panfish and carp water you do not keep — a different contract from a planted trout lake. Read the city posting at the lake, not just CDFW bag tables.

What you'll find here

City of LA: fishing allowed with a license, catch-and-release only. Not a CDFW harvest lake.

Regulations reminder

Size limits, bag limits, seasons, and MPA rules are set by CDFW and can change in-season. Public-pier license exceptions (CCR 1.88) apply only on qualifying structures — not on the beach next to them. This is an independent site and is not affiliated with CDFW.
