Pyramid Lake

Just north of the county line off the I-5, Pyramid Lake is a deep, clear reservoir known for solid largemouth numbers, open-water striper, and trout that thrive in its cold, oxygen-rich water. LA anglers treat it as a local water even though the dam sits in Ventura County. Bass follow the statewide 12-inch / 5-fish lake rule unless you see a special posting. DWR recreation rules (windows, fees, quagga inspections) matter as much as CDFW bags.

Regulations reminder

Size limits, bag limits, seasons, and MPA rules are set by CDFW and can change in-season. Public-pier license exceptions (CCR 1.88) apply only on qualifying structures — not on the beach next to them. This is an independent site and is not affiliated with CDFW.
